This isn't some touristy thing where you watch someone else work. You're actually gonna heat steel to 2000 degrees and hammer out your own piece. Our master smith has been doing this for 30+ years and he'll walk you through everything from reading the metal's color to getting that perfect strike. Leave with a hand-forged knife or fire poker you made yourself.
Walk through the actual spaces where workers forged parts for steam engines and railway equipment back in the 1880s. The building still has original brick, exposed beams, and machinery we've kept intact. You'll hear stories that didn't make it into the history books.
Make rings, pendants, or cufflinks using copper, brass, and sterling silver. You'll learn basic metalworking - cutting, shaping, soldering, and finishing. Perfect if you want something handmade but aren't ready to tackle a full forge session.
Our head bartender mixes drinks the way we forge steel - with precision and a little bit of fire. You'll learn to make three signature cocktails including our famous Anvil Old Fashioned with house-smoked whiskey. We torch things, we muddle stuff, and yeah, there might be some flaming garnishes involved. All ingredients sourced from Ontario distilleries.
Always wanted to weld? Here's your chance. Learn MIG welding basics and create a small steel sculpture or wall hook to take home. Safety gear provided.
Our chef shows you how to prep a three-course meal using cast iron and Ontario ingredients. Then you actually sit down and eat what you made. Pretty straightforward, pretty delicious.
